Underarm crutches, for as long as you need it

Underarm crutches give more support than forearm crutches and are used when a leg must bear no weight at all, for example in a cast or just after surgery. They are meant for short periods, until you can walk again: renting costs little and you return them when you no longer need them. We adjust them in the shop to the person’s height.

Frequently asked questions

Underarm crutches give more support and are for when a leg cannot bear any weight, usually for a few weeks. Forearm crutches are lighter and easier to handle for longer use. If in doubt, ask your doctor or physiotherapist.

No: the weight goes through the hands, on the grips. The underarm rest is for stability and should sit a few fingers below the armpit, otherwise it presses on nerves and blood vessels. We adjust it in the shop.

Every item comes back, is stripped down where it touches the body, sanitised with certified products and mechanically checked before going out again. The service log is kept on file and you are welcome to ask for it.
